Refined soya oil prices traded higher by 0.51 per cent to Rs 766.35 per 10 kg in futures trading today as speculators enlarged positions, tracking a firm trend at spot market on surging demand.
At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, refined soya oil for delivery in June rose by Rs 3.90, or 0.51 per cent to Rs 766.35 per 10 kg with an open interest of 37,330 lots.
Similarly, the oil for delivery in May contracts edged up by Rs 1.90, or 0.25 per cent to Rs 760.60 per 10 kg in 38030 lots.
Analysts said expanding of positions by traders on the back of strong demand at the spot market against tight stocks position on fall in arrivals from producing belts, mainly led to rise in refined soya oil prices at futures trade.
