Refined soya oil prices softened by 0.22 per cent to Rs 659.50 per 10 kg in futures trade today as speculators reduced exposure amid sluggish demand in the spot market against adequate stocks position.
At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, refined soya oil for delivery in October month fell by Rs 1.45, or 0.22 per cent to Rs 659.50 per 10 kg with an open interest of 28,720 lots.
Likewise, the oil for delivery in November contracts shed Rs 1.10, or 0.17 per cent to Rs 662.50 per 10 kg in 47,850 lots.
Analysts attributed the slide in refined soya oil futures to offloading of positions by traders owing to tepid demand in the physical market against sufficient stocks position.
