Refined soya oil prices fell by 0.27 per cent to Rs 744 per 10 kg in futures trading today as speculators reduced exposure amid sluggish demand in the spot market.

At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, refined soya oil for delivery in January 2018 was trading lower by Rs 2, or 0.27 per cent, to Rs 744 per 10 kg with an open interest of 37,470 lots.

Likewise, the oil for delivery in December moved down by Rs 1.85, or 0.25 per cent, to Rs 732.20 per 10 kg in 21,400 lots.

Market analysts said offloading of positions by participants due to muted demand in the physical market against ample stocks position on increased supplies from producing belts, mainly led to decline in refined soya oil prices at the futures trade.
