Refined soya oil prices were down by 0.16 per cent to Rs 667.60 per 10 kg in futures trade today as participants reduced their exposure amid sluggish demand in the spot market against ample stocks position.
At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, refined soya oil for delivery in March fell by Rs 1.10, or 0.16 per cent to Rs 667.60 per 10 kg with an open interest of 39,970 lots.
On similar lines, the oil for delivery far-month April contracts shed 10 paise, or 0.02 per cent to Rs 660.30 per 10 kg in 45,320 lots.
Analysts said trimming of positions by traders due to lower demand in the physical market against adequate stocks position on higher supplies from producing regions, mainly influenced refined soya oil prices at futures trade.
