Refined soya oil moves up 0.9% on strong demand

Analysts said fresh positions built-up by speculators on the back of strong demand in spot markets against tight supplies from producing regions, mainly led to the rise

Refined soya oil prices rose 0.92% to Rs 606.45 per 10 kg in futures trading today as participants created fresh positions, supported by strong demand in the spot market.

At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, refined soya oil for delivery in September traded higher by Rs 5.50, or 0.92% to Rs 606.45 per 10 kg with an open interest of 41,075 lots.

Similarly, the oil for delivery in October gained Rs 5.10, or 0.92%, to Rs 559.25 per 10 kg in 1,15,835 lots.

Analysts said fresh positions built-up by speculators on the back of strong demand in spot markets against tight supplies from producing regions, mainly led to the rise in refined soya oil prices at futures trade.
