Refined soya oil rise 0.29% as demand picks up

Amid pick up in demand at domestic spot market against restricted supplies from growing regions,refined soya oil prices edged up by 0.29 per cent to Rs 731.80 per 10 kg in futures trade today as speculators raised their bets.

At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, refined soya oil for delivery in September rose by Rs 2.15, or 0.29 per cent to Rs 731.80 per 10 kg with an open interest of 36,640 lots.

Similarly, the oil for delivery in August edged higher by 25 paise, or 0.03 per cent to Rs 734.10 per 10 kg in 24,540 lots.

Analysts said widening of positions by traders following upsurge in demand in the physical market against restricted supplies from producing belts led to rise in refined soya oil prices in futures trade.
