Refined soya oil prices eased 0.17 per cent to Rs 770.50 per 10 kg in futures market today as speculators booked profits, triggered by a drop in demand at the spot market against adequate stocks position.
At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, refined soya oil for delivery in June fell by Rs 1.30, or 0.17 per cent to Rs 770.50 per 10 kg with an open interest of 56,560 lots.
Similarly, the oil for delivery in July contracts shed Rs 1.10, or 0.14 per cent to Rs 780 per 10 kg in 28,150 lots.
Analysts said besides profit-booking by participants, easing demand in the physical market against sufficient stocks position led to the decline in refined soya oil prices at futures trade.
