Refined soya oil prices were marginally up 0.28 per cent to Rs 574.95 per 10 kg in futures trade today following pick-up in demand in the spot market, coupled with restricted supplies from the producing region.
At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, refined soya oil for delivery in far-month November rose by Rs 1.60, or 0.28 per cent, to Rs 574.95 per 10 kg with an open interest of 51,580 lots.
In a similar fashion, the oil for delivery in October contracts gained Rs 1.45, or 0.25 per cent, to Rs 577 per 10 kg in 56,045 lots.
Market analysts said a firm trend at the spot market on spurt in demand against limited arrivals from producing belts led to rise in refined soya oil prices.
