Regina King and Matthew Davis have said they would love to reprise their roles in "Legally Blonde 3".

Last month, actor Reese Witherspoon confirmed the third installment of the legal comedy series in which she will be reprising her role as the film's lead, the idealistic Elle Woods.

Davis, who starred in the first "Legally Blonde" as Warner, Elle's ex-boyfriend who inspires her to apply to law school, was asked about the new film on the red carpet at EW's Comic-Con Bash this weekend.

"I'm thrilled, and I don't know anything. I would love to see where the writers think Warner is at this point," he said.

The actor even shared his ideas on his potential character arc.

"I would love to see something where perhaps Warner is married to a politician, to a woman who's running for office, and he's sort of like a kept man. And her opponent is another candidate, and the person running the campaign is Elle Woods. So it's Elle Woods driving this campaign against the wife of Warner," he said.

"Without Warner, there is no 'Legally Blonde'," he joked.

King, who played Grace Rossiter in the 2003 sequel, a congressional staffer who helps Elle get a bill on the House floor, was a little surprised by the "Legally Blonde 3" news.

When asked about it, she said, "Oh, I didn't know!"

King, who has been busy with direction in TV, said she is open to making a comeback in the new film.

"I freakin' love Reese and if she asked me to come back, even if it was just for a scene, I would," she said.

Witherspoon's production company Hello Sunshine is also expected to produce the film.
