A Regional Passport Office (RPO) would soon be opened in Vijayawada, the functional capital of Andhra Pradesh, Union Urban Development Minister M Venkaiah Naidu announced here today.
"Whenever I come here, people eagerly see what I bring (to the state). This time I brought an order from Sushma Swaraj (External Affairs Minister) for setting up the Regional Passport Office in Vijayawada," Venkaiah said addressing a meeting of women industrialists.
The RPO would initially function from Vijayawada and later shifted to Amaravati, the new Capital of AP.
