Reena Venkataraman, Additional Chief Secretary, Science & Technology Department, West Bengal, today hoped north Bengal students and researchers will be immensely benefitted with the holding of Regional Science and Technology Conference in Jalpaiguri district.
Inaugurating the conference at Anandachandra College here she said the conference will pave the ways for researchers and students to be directly introduced to projects and academicians in national domain and save their travelling time.
"They won't have to rush to Kolkata any more in future," she said.
Dr. Chirantan Chattopadhyay, Vice-Chancellor Uttar Banga Krishi Viswavidyalaya talked about how the varsity was working as facilitator in agri-research and talked about extending residential facilities for researchers of the country and abroad in the varsity campus.
