He said there has not been a single grievance in connection with online registration for UPSC, while directions have been issued to Deputy Commissioners to take adequate measures in case of complaints from candidates to check any difficulty faced by those registering for SSC exams.
"Online registration procedure has been initiated to bring in transparency in the process of selection, to provide level playing field to all candidates and to simplify the procedure," Singh said.
Earlier Bhupinder Singh (BJD) questioned the efficacy of the system saying when the internet system did not work properly in cities like Delhi, how could it function in remote areas. He also urged the government to solve the problems of candidates residing in far-flung areas.
Singh stressed that the government has initiated steps to augment the system and said there was no move to do away with the online registration system.
