Registrations have opened for the next year's edition of the prestigious Mumbai Marathon which will have a new title sponsor, Tata group, and a prize money of USD 4,05,000.
The Tata Mumbai Marathon will be held on January 21, 2018. The 15th edition of the premier marathon event will have a prize money of USD 405,000.
British banking major Standard Chartered was the title sponsor of marathon and it has been replaced by Tata group.
For the first time, there will be a 10K (10km) timed run exclusively via charity. This run is available only for participants above 15 years of age, who want to make a difference by running for charity, a media release said here today.
The application form for charity running places will be available with the NGOs registered with the event's philanthropy partner, United Way Mumbai. Charity running places will not be available after November 30 or as soon as running places are filled, whichever is earlier, it said.
Online registrations can be done through the event website http://tatamumbaimarathon.Procamrunning.In. Residents can also deposit their application forms with the requisite fees at select Asics stores and Selection Centre Sportsstores.
Entry forms will also be available at select Asics stores, select Selection Centre Sportsstores, Asian Heart Institute and United Way Mumbai office, it added.
