Regulation of trains for four days in Cbe junction

: Major track renovation work at a cost of Rs 1.5 crore, involving remodelling of 'scissor crossings'(equivalent to laying of new track) will be taken up at Coimbatore Junction station on four days from September 3.

Consequent to this, some trains would be regulated and efforts are being made to ensure minimum disturbance in their operation and smooth completion of work, Southern Railways said in a press release.

It said that trains passing through Palakkad Junctionn towards Coimbatore on that day would be diverted via Podanur-Irugur, without touching Coimbatore junction.

The trains will stop at Podanur Junction would be the Palakkad Town-Tiruchirappally passenger, Alapuzha-Tata Nagar Express, Barouni-Ernakulam Express, Hyderabad-Kochuveli Sabari Express, Jammutawi-Kanyakumari Himsagar Express and Chennai Egmore-Mangaluru Express, the release said.
 

Details of regulated trains on Sept 4, 5 and 6 would be announced in due course, it said.
