NPP MLA from Amer Navin Pilania today said he had received an offer to join the BJP but he refused as it was against the people's mandate.
He said senior BJP leaders had asked him to join the party but he did not as he had been against the party's policies over the last four years.
"Youth, farmers, labourers and Dalits are oppressed due to the policies of state government. So, I did not accept their offer," Pilania said at a press conference here today.
He said Kirodi Lal Meena, who recently joined the BJP, was like an elder brother to him, but added that the BJP's prospects in the upcoming Assembly elections were bleak.
