Amid reports of a tussle between him and the Lt Governor Kiran Bedi, Puducherry Chief Minister V Narayanasamy today said there were no differences of opinion and relations between his ministry and the Lt Governor were cordial.

"The Lt Governor is functioning within the framework of the Constitution," he told PTI when contacted.

"We are carrying out our work within the framework of the Constitution and hence there is no room for any differences of opinion."

He said the Lt Governor had hosted a dinner for the Council of Ministers at Raj Nivas yesterday.

There was absolutely no differences of opinion between the Ministry and Lt Governor, he said.

Narayansamy said the situation in New Delhi was different and it would not be correct to draw conclusions in respect of Puducherry.

He said he was yet to acquaint himself with the contents of the judgment of the Delhi High Court holding the Lt Governor as administrative head of National Capital Territory.

"Unless I read the contents of the verdict and acquainted myself with the contents of the judgment,I will not be able to express any opinion or view," he said.

The BJP's Puducherry unit President V Saminathan had earlier said the verdict was "equally and automatically applicable to Union Territory of Puducherry also," as there has been a "tussle" between the Narayanasamy and the Lt Governor.
