Hitting out at Pakistan for releasing 26/11 Mumbai terror attacks accused Zakiur Rehman Lakhvi, Minister of State for Urban Development Babul Supriyo today said the neighbouring country is sending a very "bad message".

Referring to the attack on Peshawar school, he said Pakistan had day before yesterday paid a price for sheltering and actively using terrorists to harm India.

"It is very sad to know 132 children were killed... But by giving bail to one of the masterminds of Mumbai terror attacks soon after it is sending a very bad message not only in terms of international relations, but also in terms of terrorists who actually have done the damage to humanity," he said on the sidelines of a function here.

A Pakistani court today gave bail to LeT operations commander Zakiur Rehman Lakhvi, a key planner of the 26/11 Mumbai terror attacks, just a day after Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif said there is no 'good' and 'bad' Taliban.

"It is a very bad message... You can do anything and still get away with it. God knows whether he (Lakhvi) will be allowed to escape to Afghanistan or any other country," he said, adding "I just hope that better sense prevails."

Asked about West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee's allegation that CBI is being used as "political tool" by BJP-led government, Supriyo said her accusation is not logical and she facing political isolation in Saradha scam.

"The same Mamata who was a Minister in the government is fully aware of its functioning. Now she is speaking in illogical way. She herself was asking for CBI probe into all small things that time," he said.

Dismissing any politics in the Saradha probe, he said "She should not speak like this. Where is politics here? Poor people's money was allowed to be siphoned off. Let there be probe. If nothing comes out of the probe then it is okay with us. People should get back their money. But why preventing investigation. It is not expected from an experienced person like her."

Supriyo claimed, "She is getting cold shoulder from other political parties in Delhi though she is meeting everybody.
