Leader of Opposition in Telangana Legislative Council Mohammed Ali Shabbir today demanded that the state government release a white paper on outcomes of the state topping in 'Ease of Doing Business' rankings.
Though it is welcome that the state topped in the rankings, the focus should be on achieving "results on the ground" rather than on "awards, rewards and publicity", the Congress leader stated in a release.
The government claimed the top rank as a result of its liberalised and simplified policies (with permissions having been given to 2,500 companies in the last two-and-half years), but the government should state the investment that has come, the jobs it has generated and the number of Telangana youth who got employment, Shabbir said.
