Shares of Reliance Capital today went up by over 5 per cent after the company reported a 50 per cent rise in net profit in the third quarter ended December.
The scrip gained 5.01 per cent to settle at Rs 493.65 on BSE. Intra-day, it jumped 6.36 per cent to Rs 500.
On NSE, shares of the company moved up by 5.22 per cent to close at Rs 494.70.
In terms of equity volume, 15.10 lakh shares of the company were traded on BSE and over one crore shares changed hands on NSE during the day.
Reliance Capital yesterday reported a 50 per cent rise in net profit to Rs 315 crore in the third quarter ended December 31.
The company's net profit was Rs 209 crore in the same period of the previous fiscal.
Total income grew by 20 per cent to Rs 4,771 crore in the December quarter of 2017-18 as against Rs 3,964 crore in the same quarter of the last fiscal.
