Reliance Life Insurance Company (RLIC) today said it will add 20,000 agents across India in this financial year as part of its expansion plans.
"We are the agency company. We strongly believe that agents are our backbone and we invest in them. We have planned to increase our agency force by 20 per cent, which now stands at one lakh agents. Thus, we will be adding another 20,000 agents in this financial year," RLIC's Chief Agency Officer Manoranjan Sahoo said.
Sahoo was here for launch of RLIC's new child plan, called as 'Reliance Education Plan'.
According to him, Gujarat generates almost 10 per cent of their insurance business.
"Gujarat has been our favourite state in terms of business. 10 per cent of our business comes from here. We are having a strong agency presence here. We are having 56 branches having more than 8,500 agents working with us" he added.
