Greenvision Technologies, which makes batteries under the Relicell brand, has expanded its footprint in the large African market with its 20 per cent revenue coming from exports.
The African lead acid battery market has huge potential with an estimated growth of 5.3 per cent CAGR between 2015 and 2021 due to growing demand attributed to increased use of lead acid batteries for UPS and inverter systems, company's Managing Director Biju Bruno said.
The African battery market was pegged at USD 708.6 million in 2014 and is expected to touch USD 1,014 million by 2021.
