In a caveat to the departments which are not relieving about 100 Section Officers transfered in January, the Centre has said non-compliance of the order has been viewed "very seriously" and they should be relieved at the earliest.

The Ministry of Personnel had in January this year transferred as many as 203 officials as part of its rotational transfer policy, aimed at giving wide exposure to government employees.

As per the rules, the controlling ministry or cadre authority is required to relieve the concerned officers within 45 days of transfer. Failing which, the officer will not be entitled to salary and allowances.

"All the cadre units have been requested several times to relieve the officers concerned within the stipulated time...

"The question of implementation of the orders of transfer has been viewed in this department and non-compliance of transfer orders has been viewed very seriously by the competent authority.

"The cadre units are therefore requested to relieve all the officers at the earliest so as to ensure compliance of order under Rotational Transfer Policy," the ministry said in an order issued today to all departments.

A list of 91 Section Officers has been enclosed with the order to ensure that they are relieved early.
