Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje today directed officials to remove the names of those people from the BPL list who are well-off.

Addressing officials under 'Apka Zila Apki Sarkar' programme, she said that corruption in any government scheme or programme will not be tolerated and the officials should remove any such people who are well-off and figure in BPL list.

"During an inspection a day before, the CM found that there are some people in BPL category who have their own car, jeep and big houses. The CM directed officials to identify and remove their names," a release said.

Raje also gave direction against district supply officer Gautam Chand Jain and enforcement officer Ravi Jadhav in allotment of a PDS shop.

After the directions, Principal Secretary (Food) Subodh Grawal examined the matter and suspended both.
