Press Trust of India Chennai
The Election Commission today directed authorities to remove pictorial representations similar to the two leaves symbol of ruling AIADMK on wrappers of "Amma" packaged drinking water bottles.

EC had already directed authorities to remove the image of Chief Minister Jayalalithaa and a design similar to the two leaves symbol from the wrappers of the water bottles, based on an earlier complaint.

DMK has, however, filed another complaint stating that the design on the new wrappers also had pictorial representation similar to that of the two leaves symbol of the AIADMK.

"We have directed the authorities to remove such images from the wrappers on [Amma] water bottles," Praveen Kumar, Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) told PTI.
