Eminent scientist S K Sharma was today appointed as Chairman and Managing Director (CMD) of Nuclear Power Corporation of India Limited (NPCIL), responsible for design, construction, commissioning and operation of nuclear power reactors.
He is presently working as Distinguished Scientist and Director (Operations) in NPCIL.
Sharma has been appointed to the new post for a period of five years, an order issued by Department of Personnel and Training said.
