The elections have been necessitated as the terms of the sitting members expires on March 29.
The members are: East-West Godavari Graduates constituency - K George Victor (Independent), Krishna-Guntur Graduates constituency - Chigurupati Varaprasad (TDP), Medak-Nizamabad- Adilabad-Karimnagar Graduates constituency - Naradasu Laxman Rao (TRS), Srikakulam-Vizianagaram-Visakhapatnam Teachers constituency - Gade Srinivasulu Naidu (Ind), Medak-Nizamabad- Adilabad-Karimnagar Teachers' constituency - B Mohan Reddy (Ind), Warangal-Khammam-Nalgonda Teachers' constituency - Chukka Ramaiah (Ind).
In the election contested mostly by Independents, only a few nominees are in the fray on behalf of leading parties.
Significant among them is K Swamy Goud, a former leader of Telangana employees union, who is now contesting as TRS candidate from Medak-Nizamabad-Adilabad-Karimnagar seat.
In the East and West Godavari seat, K Venkata Suryanarayana is the nominee of TDP.
Ch Vara Prasad and J Ranga Raju are TDP and BJP candidates respectively in Krishna-Guntur constituency.
P Sudhakar Reddy and A Warada Reddy are TRS candidates from Medak-Nizamabad-Adilabad-Karimnagar and Warangal-Khammam- Nalgonda Teachers' constituencies respectively.
