A report from Longleng district administration stated that the helicopter landed today at 1030 hours on the helipad of 31st battalion, 'D' Company, of the paramilitary Assam Rifles and the chopper was then searched. An FIR would be registered in the incident, the report said. Phom, a candidate of the ruling NPF, is contesting from Tamlu Assembly constituency of Longleng district.
