Meanwhile, SAD President and Deputy Chief Minister Sukhbir Singh Badal today claimed that State Congress President Amarinder Singh was "crying hoarse in frustration as he was seeing the impending decimation of the Congress party in the Moga by-poll written on the wall."
Addressing a gathering in the favour of SAD-BJP candidate Joginder Pal Jain at village Charrik, Badal said that the "luxury loving Maharaja (Amarinder belongs to erstwhile Patiala Royals) was in the battle field of Moga with a truck of ovens and chefs to say his last good bye, otherwise he was not accessible even to his family what to talk about party leaders or workers."
He said that the development projects initiated by the SAD-BJP government have started fructifying "thereby increasing the frustration of Amarinder".
Dwelling on the development initiatives and governance reforms of the SAD-BJP government, Badal said that "Amarinder has been rendered irrelevant by the flurry of development activities in the state".
He said that the main plank of the Shiromnai Akali Dal would always be development and people's empowerment through governance reforms.
