Dal Khalsa's General Secretary Manjinder Singh and youth wing's head Ranvir Singh said the Jalandhar incident had once again shamed the society. They said that such brutal incidents reflect the degradation seeping into our society. Everyday, there are reports of sexual violence against women in one or the other place, they said, adding that despite reports of fast track courts, stringent laws and raising the quantum of punishment to rapists, the incidents of rape continue to hit the headlines. The root cause being the vitiated social situation in the country, they said.
