JAWAN --------- Jammu: An army jawan was injured in a landmine blast along the Line of Control (LoC) in Poonch district after stepped on the mine, police said today. The man has been identified as Rifleman Anoop Singh and the incident took place at Sonagali forward belt in Mendhar. ------------------------------------ DRUGPEDDLARS --------- Jammu: Five drug peddlers were arrested and a huge amount of drugs were recovered from their possession in Kathua district today, police said. The five, arrested at Shiv Nagar area, have been identified as Kamal Kishore, Avtar Singh, Roshan Lal, Navnesh Jasrotia and Vishal Singh alais Monu, they said. Forty gram smack and 390 intoxicant injections were recovered from their possession. ------------------------------------ EDUCATION --------- Jammu: The Jammu and Kashmir government today stressed on framing of time bound transfer policy, particularly for those working in hilly and remote areas in the state. "We stress on framing of time bound transfer policy particularly for those working in hilly and remote areas. The government is committed to provide education to all especially to those living in rural and far flung areas," Deputy Chief Minister Tara Chand said. He was speaking at a meeting to review implementation and progress of flagship programs of Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan (SSA) and Rashtriya Madhyamik Shiksha Abhiyan (RMSA) in Samba district.
