Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao today directed officials to prepare an action plan so that the benefits of reorganisation of districts reach the people.

Rao, who held a meeting with ministers and officials here, felt that there is a need to bring in a qualitative change in the working culture of government departments, a release from his office said.

The number of districts has increased to 31 following reorganisation of the districts.

In the district collectors' conference to be held on December 14 in Hyderabad, the priorities, action plan and programmes of each district should be finalised, Rao said.

He said the "Know Your District" and "Plan Your District" programmes should be given to district collectors and the district administration should prepare plans, programmes and action plan for the comprehensive development of the districts accordingly.

"The Chief Minister desired that all district collectors should have a complete understanding on issues like how many families are in the district, their economic status and other parameters," it added.
