Repolling is underway today at a booth at Sonamukhi in Bishnupur Lok Sabha constituency in Bankura district.

The repoll was ordered after the presiding officer complained to the district magistrate and returning officer that the local MLA Dipali Saha had forcefully cast 100 votes in booth number 27 at Sahapur.

District magistrate later discussed the matter with state chief electoral officer Sunil Gupta and repoll was ordered.

An FIR was also lodged against Dipali Saha, who is absconding, the police said.

Out of a total of 938 voters, 350 people cast their votes till 12 noon, officials said.
