The Rajasthan Election Department has sought factual report about the alleged violation of poll code by former DGP and BJP candidate Harish Meena at a government bungalow here.

"I have sought a report in this case," Chief Electoral Officer of Rajasthan Ashok Jain told reporters here today when asked about the violation.

Deputy Election Commissioner Sudhir Tripathi said that he was not aware and would seek details from the department officials and look into the matter.

Congress yesterday filed a complaint with the department against the alleged violation of the Model Code of Conduct by Meena by holding political activities at the official DGP bungalow here.

Meena, BJP's Dausa candidate, was removed as DGP around three months ago after he sought volunteer retirement to contest elections.

However, he has not vacated the official DGP bungalow yet and allegedly conducted political activities there.
