Rajasthan Governor Kalyan Singh today unfurled the tricolour at a state-level Republic Day function in Bharatpur district.
He inspected the parade and greeted people at the Lohagarh Stadium in the presence of Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje, public representatives and senior state officials.
Close to 1,200 school students and 120 folk artists gave colourful presentations.
The governor also gave away the President's police medal and other medals and certificates to awardees.
The day was celebrated across the states.
Divisional commissioners and district collectors unfurled the tricolour at divisional headquarters and district headquarters while similar functions were held in government offices, schools and other institutions too.
The law and order situation remained normal and no untoward incident occurred, police said.
