Rescue operations to pull out a six-year-old girl who fell into an abandoned borewell were on in full swing for the third day today at Jhunjarwad village in the district.
The girl is stuck at a depth of around 30 feet in the 400 feet borewell and the rescue team has located the hand of Kaveri, whose fate was not known, officials said.
A hook has attached to the girl's hand to prevent her from slipping deeper, a rescue operation team member said.

The National Disaster Response Force experts from Hutti Gold Mines and Fire services personnel are engaged in the rescue operation since Saturday evening, when Kaveri slipped and fell into the borewell while playing with her friends.
Belagavi district Superintendent of Police Ravikantegouda said the operation was nearing the end.
A 30 feet pit parallel to the borewell has been dug, officials said, adding, the operation had got delayed due to hard and rocky soil.
Thousands of people from surrounding areas have flocked to the village to see the operation.
A case will be registered against owner of the field Shankar Hippargi, police said.
