The condition of the 19-year-old girl, who was shifted here to SCB Medical College and Hospital in very severe condition from Bhubaneswar on Sunday, continues to remain in critical state.

"She is under round-the-clock observation," said the Hospital superintendent Dr P C Rath.

The girl, a native of Nayagarh district was found with multiple injuries in a pool of blood in a bush near Bhubaneswar railway station late on Sunday afternoon. The government railway police (GRP) retrieved the girl and sent her to the Capital hospital from where she was referred here.

Reports further said that the girl apparently went for tuition classes on Saturday evening at her native place. When she did not return by 9 pm, the girl's parents reported a missing case in local police station. The girl had reportedly left her home for tuition with some gold ornaments and cash.
