Jharkhand Chief Minister Raghubar Das today said research is essential for any development.

"Our government has decided to strengthen research stations," Das said.

If students of the state want to go to another state for research, the government would help them and the Higher Education secretary has been directed to act on the pending matters, an official release quoting the Chief Minister, said.

"Dance and music are part of our culture. The government will make arena in every village for that... competitions will be held every year in villages and then these competitions will be held at panchayat, block and district levels.

"The selected artists will be awarded in a three-day state level Tribal Culture Fair at Morhabadi, Ranchi. This fair will bring our cultural identity before the world. The whole world wants to know about the culture, food, custom, life style, livelihood, folk art, song and music of the state," he said.

Tribal people have toiled much for the development of the state and after coming to power, his government has worked for the development of the villages, Das said.
