PCC president Sachin Pilot today said "resentment" among the ruling BJP MLAs led to cross- voting in the presidential election in Rajasthan where the opposition nominee Meira Kumar got 34 votes against 24 of the Congress.

"Voting by some ruling party MLAs in support of Meira Kumar without any pressure has proved that the functioning of the government has created disinterest among its MLAs," he said in a statement.

Pilot claimed the cross-voting shows that the BJP MLAs are not "happy and satisfied" with the government.

The Pradesh Congress Committee president congratulated Ram Nath Kovind for winning the presidential election.
