Reshuffle among Andhra IPS officers, ACB gets new chief

In a major reshuffle, Andhra Pradesh government today transferred and gave postings to over a dozen senior IPS officers and appointed a new chief of Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB).

M Malakondaiah, Director of Andhra Pradesh Police Academy (APPA), has been appointed Director General of ACB. He will, however, continue to function as APPA Director in additional capacity, according to a government order issued tonight.

Most of the officers were waiting for new postings. One of them, Anjana Sinha, has been named IGP (Technical Services).

Kumar Vishwajeet has been posted as IGP (North Coastal Zone), G Suryaprakasa Rao will be IGP Coastal Security and B Rajakumari named Commandant of 6th battalion of APSP (Andhra Pradesh Special Police) at Mangalagiri.
 

Sarvashresth Tripathi has been made the new SP of Guntur (Urban), while K Narayan Naik, Group Commander, Grey Hounds, has been transferred and appointed SP Guntur (Rural).

Bhaskar Bhusan has been moved to West Godavari district as SP, while K Raghuram Reddy has been made Group Commander, Grey Hounds at Visakhapatnam.

Gajarao Bhupal is the new SP of Nellore district, while S Senthil Kumar has been posted as Group Commander at Grey Hounds, an elite anti-Naxal unit.

Similarly, Kanti Rana Tata has been posted as SP CID and K Koteswara Rao named SP, Intelligence, the order added.
