Reshuffle in Chhattisgarh police dept

A senior IPS officer was today promoted as Additional Director General of police (ADGP) while four other senior officers were transferred in a minor reshuffle in the Chhattisgarh police department.

The changes follow the swearing-in of new government after the Assembly elections.

Ashok Juneja (1989-batch IPS), currently IG, Durg Range, has been elevated as ADGP-Railways, Traffic & Administration, an official here said.

The post of ADGP (Administration) was held by Rajiv Srivastava, who was assigned the charge as ADGP (Crime Investigation Department).

IG (Raipur Range) G P Singh was given an additional charge of Planning Management.

Himanshu Gupta, IG (CID), was made IG - Chhattisgarh Armed Force, replacing the incumbent M S Tomar, who was appointed as IG Durg Range.
