Reshuffle in J-K administration

Jammu and Kashmir government today carried out a reshuffle in the administration by transferring 19 senior officials including nine IAS officers.

The transfers and posting were approved at a cabinet meeting chaired by Chief Minister Omar Abdullah.

Sonali Kumar, IAS, Principal Resident Commissioner, JK government in New Delhi, has been transferred and posted as chairperson of JK Special Tribunal. She will be replaced by another IAS officer, K B Aggarwal.

Shantmanu (IAS) has been transferred and posted as Divisional Commissioner, Jammu while Sarita Chouhan (IAS) has been posted as Secretary, Animal and Sheep Husbandry Department.

M A Bukhari (IAS) has been transferred and posted as Secretary, General Administration Department, replacing Sheikh Mushtaq Ahmad (IAS) who will now be Secretary, Higher Education Department.
 

Saurabh Bhagat (IAS) will be the new Secretary, Industries and Commerce Department.

Mohammad Ashraf Mir has been transferred and posted as Secretary, Department of Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs. He will also hold the additional charge of Secretary, Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Council.
