Reshuffle in Jharkhand police department

In a reshuffle in Jharkhand's police department, IPS officer Asha Sinha was made the Director General of Police, Home Guard and Fire Services.

Her appointment as DG (Home Guard & Fire Services) comes after Rajeev Kumar was made the Jharkhand police chief on March 1 following the retirement of G S Rath on February 28.

In other postings, Additional Director General of Police D K Pandey was given the charge of law and order and operations while Additional Director General of Police A K Sinha will look after the Railways.

K S Meena (ADG/CID), S N Pradhan (ADG, Modernisation & Training), B B Pradhan (ADG, Headquarters) and K N Choubey (ADG, Jharkhand Armed Police) are the other ADGs who figured in the reshuffle list, an official communique said here tonight.
