As many as 14 police officers, including nine of the Indian Police Service (IPS), were today transferred in Chhattisgarh.
Assistant Inspector General (AIG) of Police D L Manhar, posted at police headquarters (PHQ) here, has been shifted as Commandant, 7th battalion, Chhattisgarh Armed Force (CAF) at Bhilai, an official release said.
Superintendent of Police, Balod district, Sheikh Arif Hussain has been transferred as SP, Balodabazaar district, while he will be replaced by AIG (ATS) PHQ Deepak Kumar Jha.

SP, Gariaband, Amit Tukaram Kamble has been sent on deputation to the government of India, the release said.
The state service police officers who were transferred included commandant, 11thbattalion, CAF, Janjgir Champa M L Aahire, who has been appointed as Commandant, VIP security, Mana. AIG PHQ, DLS Armo has been shifted as Commandant, 11thbattalion Janjgir Champa.
ASP, Chief Minister's security, Prashant Thakur has been shifted as SP, special task force, at PHQ. SP, Kondagaon, Deepmala Kashyap has been transferred as ASP (traffic/protocol) in Raipur, and Sub Divisional Officer of Police (SDOP) Kondagaon Umesh Kashyap as DSP, Chief Minister's security.
