The doctors are demanding payment of salary due since the last six months and change in the new exam pattern.

The state government assured the agitating medicos in a meeting held yesterday that their salaries will be deposited in the bank accounts and the exam pattern will be changed but the doctors are adamant.

"The government has taken positive decisions on all the demands of the residents. The residents will now get almost full salary and old pattern will continue in PG course," a spokesperson said.

However, the doctors said they want a written assurance.

"We want a written assurance of the government's promise," said Prahlad Jhakar, President of Jaipur Association of Resident doctors, adding that their agitation was continuing.

All resident doctors in Jaipur, Jodhpur, Udaipur, Kota and Bikaner medical college are on mass leave since yesterday.
