Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti today inaugurated three blocks, comprising 48 one BHK residential flats, for state government employees.
The three building blocks, one of which has been reserved for women employees, were constructed by Roads and Buildings (R&B) Department, an official spokesman said here.
In order to facilitate accommodation for lower-rung employees, construction of one BHK flats has been prioritised in the first and second phases of the project, the spokesman said.

He said the Chief Minister also laid the foundation stone for nine more blocks- comprising 144 flats- to be constructed in second phase.
After the inauguration, Mehbooba inspected the block reserved for women, the spokesman said.
While complimenting the R&B department for the concept and design, she asked Director Estates to reserve more blocks for women as and when they are added to the residential colony.
He said the colony is being constructed as part of Rs 90.65 crore project which envisages construction of 400 estates quarters comprising 80 three BHK, 128 two BHK and 192 one BHK flats.
