Residents of the beleaguered Campa Cola housing complex in Worli held a protest near Chief Minister Prithviraj Chavan's official bungalow 'Varsha' here today.

The Supreme Court has ordered demolition of 140 illegal flats in the Campa Cola society by November 11. Since the residents do not have the necessary Occupation Certificates, the flats have been declared illegal.

Chavan said he would seek opinion of advocate general on Supreme Court's order to demolish the building next month, an official said.

Shiv Sena leader Anil Desai and BJP's Mangal Prabhat Lodha were also present at the meeting.

Over 200 residents of Campa Cola society gathered to protest near Chavan's official residence. The protesters, who were dressed in black and shouting slogans, were held back by police before they could reach his residence.
