Chief Parliamentary Secretary (CPS) Virsa Singh Valtoha today said Amritsar East MLA Navjot Kaur Sidhu should resign as CPS if she had any problems but should not try to harm the SAD-BJP coalition to further the personal ambitions of her family.

Asking Kaur not to live in a fool's paradise, Valtoha -- a senior SAD leader, said the CPS was free to day dream about the future role of her husband (former MP Navjot Singh Sidhu) in Punjab politics for her personal gains.

"However, if she is so dissatisfied she should come out of the government before making statements urging the BJP to walk out of the coalition government in Punjab," he said.

Stating that Kaur was prone to "erratic and sometimes even bizarre behaviour which defied logic", Valtoha said she had come out with a statement that BJP should go it alone in Punjab despite the fact that the party seniors had made it clear on a number of occasions that the alliance was there to stay.

Kaur had been vocal against functioning of Parkash Singh Badal government and said "BJP workers were not being given due importance by the Akali government."

She asserted that the workers on ground were in favour of breaking of the alliance.

"In my opinion, the party should strengthen its base and contest elections (Assembly polls 2017) on its own," Kaur had said.
