Respite from heatwave in Vidarbha, Nagpur records 44 d.Celsius

The heatwave conditions eased across Vidarbha today as temperatures fell in most places including Nagpur.

The mercury dropped to 44.9 degrees Celsius here, maintaining the downward trend.

Chandrapur, which had yesterday recorded a highest 47.3 degree Celsius in the region, today recorded 45 degrees Celsius.

Bramhapuri in Chandapur district recorded 45.1 degrees Celsius, today's highest in the region.

According to the Regional Meteorological Cente, temperatures recorded in other cities were as follows (figures on Celsius scale): Akola 42, Yavatmal 40.2, Gondia 44.3 Washim 40.2, Wardha 43.9, Amravati 43.
