: The nearly two year restoration work on three ancient mausoleums in the Qutub Shahi Heritage Park here has been completed with German funding, officials said.

"All three structures of Hakims and Commanders were profusely ornamented with stucco plaster and their majestic domes topped by copper finials.

Conservation works on the structures was carried out through 2017-18 with co-funding support of 75,000 Euros from the Consulate General of the Federal Republic of Germany in Chennai, an official release said.

Over 15,000 man-days of work were carried out by stone carvers, masons, plasterers, and stucco plaster specialist craftsmen to complete the work.

Hakims were the physicians of rulers of the Qutub Shahi dynasty (1518-1687).

These highly ornate mausoleums were built by Sultan Muhammad Qutub Shah and are among the few prominent mausoleums in the Qutub Shahi necropolis built for non-royals at the foot of the Golconda fort.
