Retd BSF constable, wife shot dead in Bharatpur

A retired BSF constable, his wife and their relative were shot dead allegedly by their neighbour in Bharatpur district, police said today.

The incident occurred last night in Tohiya village where Rambabu, an ex-serviceman, opened fire at the constable Lakhan (43) and his wife Mathla (40) following a dispute, they said.

"Their relative Satyaveer (32) intervened into the matter and he also received bullet injuries. They were rushed to the district hospital where all of them were declared dead," SHO Udyog Nagar Lakhan Khatana said.

The main accused Rambabu along with some others have been detained with arms, he said, adding that additional police force has been deployed in the area to maintain law and order.
